Ashley’s annual girls trip to visit Jilly led to Olympic National Park, filled with gorgeous mountains, the coast and a rainforest! Quality time with friends and mountain views are good for the soul.
SHT: Cascade River State Park to Judge Magney State Park
We clocked in our longest section hike on the SHT yet - 40 miles in the backcountry exploring one of our favorite places ever!
Utah’s Mighty Five
We took on Utah’s Mighty Five for spring break this year - it was a whirlwind trip through Zion, Capitol Reef, Arches, Canyonlands, and Bryce Canyon National Parks! Each park was amazing and unique in its own way, and we can’t wait to make it back again someday.
Tettegouche State Park
We introduced Emily to our favorite place in Minnesota, the North Shore! We spent a long weekend car camping and day hiking out of Tettegouche State Park. It was a great time to get up there and experience the fall colors!
Cascade River State Park
We celebrated our two-year wedding anniversary with a long weekend full of camping at Cascade River State Park and hiking around the Grand Marais and Grand Portage areas. Car camping was a luxurious break from all the backpacking we’ve been doing, and it was nice to kick back at the campsite with hearty food and frosty beverages after hiking!
