We did it!

Medicine Bow National Forest - Snowy Range

What started out as a back-up plan when the Boundary Waters closed due to wildfires turned into one of our favorite trips of all time! We spent six days backpacking in the wilderness of the Snowy Range Mountains in Medicine Bow National Forest with great friends (and pups!)

Lake Agnes

SHT: Britton Peak to Caribou Trail

We teamed up with Liz, Ryan, and Tino to celebrate Crimmy’s second birthday on the SHT! It was a scorcher, but the route was packed with gorgeous views, campsites all to ourselves, and lots of swimming opportunities.

More awesome views from the ridge

Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park

We spent Labor Day weekend exploring a new place and had a great time in the “Porkies” doing some backpacking. We had great campsites on not one, but two iconic lakes, hiked right along Lake Superior’s south shore, and enjoyed beautiful views along the way.

Gorgeous sunset Saturday night

BWCAW 2020

We went back out to the boundary waters for the second year in a row, this time in the Ely area and with Al and Lindsey along for the adventure! It was a great time with great friends, and we can’t wait to go back again next year.

Campfire lakeside

Timber-Frear Canoe Route

We decided to try something a little different than our usual north shore backpacking weekend, and opted for this loop paddle route!
